Hosted by İzmir Metropolitan Municipality and organized in cooperation with İZFAŞ and Nobel Expo Fuarcılık, Rescon Expo-2. Real Estate, Construction and Urban Transformation Expo opened at Fuarizmir. Suphi Şahin, Deputy Secretary General of İzmir Metropolitan Municipality, said, "The earthquake disaster we experienced on February 6 once again showed us the fact that more attention should be paid to the construction and real estate sector, the construction processes of the buildings should be kept under constant supervision and urban transformation processes should be planned and carried out very well."

İzmir Metropolitan Municipality continues to be the lever of the economy with the expos organized in different sectors. The opening ceremony of Rescon Expo-2, which brought together representatives of the construction and real estate sectors, was held in fuarizmir A Hall. The opening ceremony of the Real Estate, Construction and Urban Transformation Fair was attended by chambers, sector representatives, representatives of political parties, bureaucrats and guests.

The expo, which has grown by 20 percent this year compared to last year and welcomed visitors from 37 countries in its first edition, is also hosting international exhibitors from the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, Montenegro and Belgium this year.

"All components of the sector meet"

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Suphi Şahin, Deputy Secretary General of İzmir Metropolitan Municipality, said, "The earthquake disaster we experienced on February 6 in our country, which is located in the earthquake zone and affected 10 provinces, shows us once again the fact that more attention should be paid to the construction and real estate sector, the construction processes of the buildings should be kept under constant supervision and urban transformation processes should be carried out by planning very well."

Stating that there is a sector that concerns more than 200 sectors and employs 1.6 million people directly and more than 6 million people indirectly, Suphi Şahin continued his words as follows: "In this context, this fair, hosted for the second time by İzmir Metropolitan Municipality, brings together all the components of the sector at fuarizmir. The expo will bring together the relevant stakeholders of the real estate and urban transformation sector, the importance of which is increasing day by day in the world and in our country, for the next 3 days."

What's at Rescon Expo?

At Rescon Expo, exhibitors include housing, villa, residence and mass housing projects, real estate marketing organizations and land offices, cooperatives and timeshare companies, wood and steel prefabricated housing manufacturers and importers, companies providing contracting services for mass housing and urban transformation, architectural offices, engineering firms, building inspection firms, public institutions, universities and municipalities.

Thousands of people are expected to visit Rescon Expo, which will be visited by domestic and foreign investors, those who want to buy or rent housing, workplaces, real estate investment experts, consultants, organizations and business people for three days.
 
The interviews to be organized within the scope of the expo will also contribute to the sector. In addition, the collaborations that will emerge through bilateral meetings will contribute to the development of the sector and related sectors, thus supporting the country's economy and employment.
